  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onions over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  4. Add uncooked egg noodles and the soup mixture to the skillet with the beef and onions; mix well. If using peas, add them now.
  5. Transfer to a greased casserole dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes covered; then remove foil and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
