Ingredients
- 8 ounces bow-tie pasta
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
- 6 strips chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1/2 cup cream (or half-and-half)
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 cup shredded Asiago or Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add the bow-tie pasta and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken and cook for about 5 minutes until browned. Add Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 8–10 minutes until tender.
- Remove the chicken and Brussels sprouts from the skillet but leave some drippings.
- Pour in 1/2 cup pasta water into the skillet to deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits. Add cream, salt, and pepper; simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine cooked pasta, chicken, and Brussels sprouts with the sauce in the skillet; stir well to coat.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary; sprinkle with cheese before serving if desired.
