Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 3–4 Tbsp heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F and prepare an 8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream softened butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until combined. Gradually incorporate flour.
- Press half of the dough into the baking dish and set aside the remaining dough.
- For the filling, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and melted butter until well blended. Spread over the dough in the pan.
- Top with reserved dough and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before glazing with a mixture of confectioners' sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and cream.
