  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and diced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together cilantro, olive oil, soy sauce, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, jalapeno, and cumin. Reserve 1/2 cup for serving.
  2. In a large Ziploc bag or bowl, add flank steak and remaining marinade; seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and pat dry with paper towels; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill steak for about 6 minutes on each side for medium rare or until desired doneness.
  5. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain. Drizzle reserved marinade over slices before serving.
