- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
- Add water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles, garnishing with fresh basil if desired.
