  • Salt and black pepper
  • 4 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons water or chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons spring onion greens, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons toasted peanuts, crushed

Instructions

  1. Season chicken cubes with salt and black pepper. Toss with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat peanut oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add coated chicken and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, red chili flakes, water (or broth), honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; mix well.
  4. Pour the sauce over cooked chicken and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and crushed peanuts before serving.
