Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back beef ribs (2 to 2.5 pounds each)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 & 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 cup sweet barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of each rib rack.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and all spices until combined.
- Rub the spice mixture generously on both sides of each rib rack.
- Wrap each rack tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 2 hours until tender.
- Increase oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Open foil packets, brush BBQ sauce over ribs, and bake uncovered for an additional 45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.
