Ingredients
- 3 lbs flank steak (or skirt steak)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 fresh limes
- 1 bundle of cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 16 mini corn tortillas
- 1/2 stick butter
Instructions
- Thinly slice the flank steak into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and brown.
- Once the steak begins to brown, add half of the chopped onion. Cook until softened; season with salt and pepper.
- Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and cook until the meat is fully cooked.
- In another skillet, melt butter and fry each tortilla for about 1 minute until soft.
- For each taco, stack two tortillas, add carne asada mixture, top with cilantro and remaining onions, and serve with lime wedges.
