Ingredients
- 20 oz daikon radish (or turnip)
- 0.63 lb ground chicken (or turkey, or beef)
- 3 scallions (finely chopped)
- 0.3 oz ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- ¼ tsp coarse sea salt (plus more for sprinkling)
- â…› tsp ground white pepper
- 2 tsp tapioca starch
- Avocado oil (for frying)
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce (or 1½–2 tbsp coconut aminos, omit sugar)
- ½ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1–1½ tsp rice vinegar (or Chinese black vinegar)
Instructions
- Peel and slice the daikon into thin rounds, flatten slightly if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, scallions, ginger, sesame oil, salt, white pepper, and starch.
- Place a tablespoon of filling onto each daikon slice, fold over to create a half-moon shape, and seal the edges.
- Heat avocado oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat; fry potstickers until golden brown on one side.
- Add water to steam the potstickers for about 5 minutes; serve warm with dipping sauce.
