- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups buttermilk

- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Melt the butter in a deep-dish baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and water (if using fresh berries). Bring to a boil, then set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add buttermilk and stir until smooth.
- Pour the blueberry mixture over the melted butter without stirring. Carefully pour the topping over the blueberries.
