Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless chicken breast
  • ½ tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, brown sugar, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Place chicken in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish; pour marinade over it. Massage to coat chicken evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  4. Preheat your cooking method of choice (grill, oven, air fryer).
  5. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard excess. Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
