  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • Flaky sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick spray or oil and line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
  4. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together until smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, and vanilla until combined.
