  • 2.2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast (or thighs)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1.5 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp sumac
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine plain yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, tomato paste, yellow mustard, minced garlic, and garlic powder.
  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat thoroughly in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  4. Grill for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
