  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 5 cups roughly chopped green cabbage
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sweet red chili sauce
  • 4 green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add diced onion, chopped cabbage, finely chopped carrots, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 10 minutes until the cabbage softens.
  2. Push vegetables to the side and add sesame oil to the center of the pan. After one minute, add shrimp and cook for 2 to 4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sweet red chili sauce, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds (if using). Cook for another minute to blend flavors.
