Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, garlic, parsley, paprika, lime zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place shrimp in a zip-lock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or up to 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Remove shrimp from the marinade and discard the excess.
  4. Cook shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Serve immediately with fresh lime juice squeezed on top.
